This diagnostics suite was released 03-Feb-2010 and there are also earlier releases of the same suite as one large disk image too. I picked this suite because it was the newest and final release.
Apple Service Display Utility 1.0 supports the following machine only;
Apple Service Display Utility (ASDU) is a tool used to verify the resolution of flickering display symptoms occurring on iMac (27-inch, Late 2009).
ASDU checks the computer's internal display. It does not check externally connected hardware components such as USB devices or FireWire devices; it does not check non-Apple devices not included in the original shipping configuration of the system.
ASDU does not check for problems with the Operating System (OS) or other software related problems such as application or extension conflicts. As such, please verify that the unit contains a supported version of the operating system (OS); refer to iMac (Late 2009): Using the correct Mac OS X system software.
Specific products affected
ASDU version 1.0 is for use on iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) only and will not work with any other computer.
